INKA SOUL

I was born in the south of Peru, in the city of Puno, close to the Titicaca Lake. As a child, my grandmother always had time to share with me her stories about the Inka Culture. She was the first person to make me dream and love the nature around me.
Through the Inkan legends and their mystery I began my training as a painter. Sometime later, in 1986, I came to the USA;my soul was prepared for the great change. I participed in a number of exihibitions. Then it was Europe;4 tough years there, nevertheless full of enriching experiences that would change my life.

It was in Europe that I would paint my first murals. I was always a restless person. I traveled to Israel,Egypt and part of Africa. The language barrier was never an obstacle:I expressed myself through my paintings.

Under the influence of my grandmother's energy I came back to USA and could see her and enjoy once more. She was proud and happy to experience my evolution. She died soon after in New York. I would like to thank her for everything she did and will still do for me.

The fact that I'm now an artist and curator now it's thanks to her; and my soul will always carry her magic.

In honor to Maria Yepez Mogrovejo, born 26 february 1903-died-8 october 1998... I know that you are resting in peace. .your grand son..Paul...
